Hippos are my very favorite animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I grow up I want to save hippos and other animals like you. I have borrowed lots of books from the library about hippos so I am practically a expert at hippos. Hippos are so cute! I basically love any animal that is big, fat, and lives on land. I talk about them so much that everyone in my class knows I like them!!!!!!!!! I’v liked them for as long as I can remember. I know that I didn’t always like them or so my mom says. no one knows what made me like them because one day I just said “My favorite animal is a hippo” and before that I never really knew that they excised honestly. I think my favorite animal will always be a hippo. What I like about them most is probably their nose or the way they wobble walk.I think its cool how they close their nostrils up when they are in the water. And how they produce pink sweat to cool themselves off. I was really excited I picked bonbon as my hippo.I watched her birth and it was fascinating my mom thought so too!!!!!!! I said that I was a expert at hippos but I regret that because during bonbons birth i noticed this white milky stuff from bonbon’s mom I was wondering if you could tell me what that is? boy, mom hippos are sure brave and strong to fight of crocodiles to pertect their baby hippos. oh I almost forgot another thing I like about hippos is their teeth. part of what makes their teeth cute is the way its all crooked (haha) Well this is turning into a long letter and my mom says I have to get of of a screen so bye and good luck with the adorable hippos

Happy New year to all of you at the Turgwe Hippo Trust.
It’s good to see the hippos still have water to go into, despite having to be fed. I wish I could say the same despite the few drizzles we had here, but there have been no extraordinary fires here, which is the greatest blessing.
I hope 2020 will bring you everything you wish for.
