Ricky

RICKY born September 7^th 2025  is the calf of Tacha and has been named after RICKY GERVAIS the British comedian and actor who has so kindly donated from his Mortality tour to the Turgwe Hippo Trust.

So in order to honor this amazingly generous gift to the hippos, we have named Tacha’s new calf after Ricky.  We do not yet know if Ricky hippo is a male or a female but as the bull Kuchek seems to only produce males it is most likely that Ricky is a male.  We will let you know once we see him on land.
