Steve is our media star. He’s born 18 or19th September 2017. His mother is Relief and father is Kuchek. He lived at the Chlabata pools part of the Turgwe River. At the end of 2019 he was weaned and chased out of the family.

He was very  clever and discovered our home Hippo Haven and began eating our small lawn. He then found out that I feed two wild bush pigs at the back door at night so he joined them.  So since May 2020 he has come along to our home every night and loves being in the company of the pigs and some of the baboons.  We call him our “house hippo”.  He is very special indeed.
